Most investors are familiar with star fund managers and those who appear regularly in the media. However, nobody actually sit and compare who made the maximum money for investors. That is why ET.com Mutual Funds decided to find out which fund managers made the maximum returns over a period of five years. We have considered only open-ended equity schemes for the exercise. Morningstar's premium fund screener says that out of 26,040 mutual funds there are 4,675 whose managers have a tenure of 10 years or more -- long enough to know whether you are getting a great manager for your management fees. Now lets look at their returns.
